Principal's Message

Welcome to Piney Point Elementary School! My name is Hernita S. Johnson and I am honored to serve as the Principal of this vibrant and diverse learning community. With a passion for education and a commitment to student success, I am dedicated to creating an environment "Where PURPOSE Meets PREPARATION to Learn, Lead, and Thrive”.

Throughout my career, I have embraced opportunities to inspire and support students, teachers, and families. I believe that every child deserves access to high-quality instruction, a caring and inclusive community, and the tools they need to reach their fullest potential. I am deeply committed to fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous growth, and innovation at Piney Point.

My educational philosophy centers around building strong relationships, empowering educators, and nurturing a love of learning in every child. I believe that when we work together, we create the foundation for our students to excel academically, socially, and emotionally.
