Piney Point Fine Arts: From Rodeo Art to Digital Innovation
The Fine Arts program at Piney Point Elementary has grown into a vibrant, creative community that celebrates both tradition and innovation. What began with our students’ participation in Rodeo Art, where young artists explored classic techniques and themes of Texas culture, has expanded into new realms of expression and technology.

Today, our students also shine through the Digital Art Club, where iPads and Procreate turn their imaginations into digital masterpieces. This club blends hands-on creativity with cutting-edge tools, giving our students the chance to explore the same technology used by professional illustrators and designers.
Our program has not only enriched our classrooms but has also earned recognition in the larger community. Piney Point student artists were honored to be featured in “Threads of Gold” at Asia Society Houston, a distinguished exhibition that showcased their talent alongside renowned artists. In addition, our students’ artwork has been proudly displayed at the Harris County building, where families, educators, and community members could witness firsthand the brilliance and dedication of our young creators.
These achievements highlight the heart of Piney Point’s Fine Arts: nurturing curiosity, building confidence, and celebrating every child’s voice through art. From the excitement of Rodeo Art to the innovation of digital illustration and the honor of public exhibitions, our students prove that creativity truly knows no boundaries.
